Overview

The Glaelle Mathurin Community Foundation (GMCF) is proud to offer a Scholarship & Mentorship Program designed to support, empower, and invest in the next generation of leaders attending one of the City University of New York (CUNY) undergraduate colleges.

​

What Selected Scholars Receive (Over One Year):​

• Scholarship award of up to $2,000 for tuition fees (2026–2027 academic year)

• 12 months of mentorship, including monthly check-ins, personalized goal-setting, and guidance

• Career development support: résumé assistance, mock interviews, and LinkedIn profile building 

• Full access to GMCF workshops on leadership, professional skills, and personal growth

• Mandatory participation as a GMCF volunteer at our annual Backpack Giveaway event the summer following their program year

Eligibility requirements:​

• Be enrolled full-time as a sophomore, junior or senior at any CUNY College during the 2026-2027 academic school year.

• Current cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or higher

• Able to demonstrate leadership abilities.

• Able to demonstrate a financial need.

• Be a U.S. Citizen or legal permanent resident with a valid permanent resident card or passport stamped I-551.
